Eutopia is proud of its involvement in the
'Connecting for Health' programme - formerly NPfIT.
This programme is a £2.3bn investment
in Information Technology aimed at improving the quality
and convenience of care - by ensuring that those who give
and receive care have the right information at the right
time.
The programme is split into four key developments:

An electronic integrated care records
service including a nationally accessible core data
repository and digital images - NHS Spine

The provision of facilities for electronic
booking of appointments

Electronic transfer of prescriptions

An underpinning IT Infrastructure with
sufficient connectivity and broadband capacity to meet
future NHS needs
The UK has been split in to 5 regions (known
as Clusters) comprising London, Eastern, North East, North
West and Southern. Many well known organisations have been
selected as suppliers for one or more cluster, as well as
for the NHS 'Spine'
